Please read these terms before entering
A competition's own page may contain additional details such as its prize, ticket price, entry limit, opening time, closing time and draw time. Those competition-specific details form part of these terms.
Section 1
The Promoter
The promoter is MILLION POUND DRAW LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17002657 (the “Promoter”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
Our registered office is A617 Westbound, Heath, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, United Kingdom, S44 5SW.
You can contact us at hello@millionpounddraw.com or through our contact page.
Section 2
Scope of these terms
These terms apply to prize competitions offered through millionpounddraw.com, our mobile applications and any other official Million Pound Draw entry channel (together, the “Platform”).
For each competition, the contract between you and us consists of:
- the details displayed on the relevant competition page (the “Competition Details”);
- these competition terms and conditions;
- our privacy policy and any other policy expressly referred to in the Competition Details.
If those documents conflict, the Competition Details take priority, followed by these terms.
Each competition opens and closes at the date and time shown in its Competition Details. Times are UK local time unless stated otherwise.
Section 3
How to enter online
To enter online, you must:
- create or sign in to your Million Pound Draw account;
- choose an open competition and the number of entries required;
- complete checkout using an accepted payment method or eligible ticket credits; and
- receive confirmation that the order and entry have been completed.
An item in a basket, an attempted payment or a pending payment is not a confirmed entry. An entry is valid only when our records show it as confirmed and ticket number(s) have been allocated to it.
Each ticket represents one entry into the relevant competition and has an equal chance of being selected. Tickets are allocated by the Platform. Entrants and staff cannot request, choose, exchange or transfer particular ticket numbers.
The ticket price, overall ticket availability and maximum entries allowed per person or account are shown in the Competition Details. We may reject entries exceeding those limits and may apply limits across connected accounts or households where reasonably necessary to prevent circumvention.
Entries must be received before the stated closing time. We are not responsible for entries that are incomplete or delayed by a payment provider, network failure, device failure or other event outside our reasonable control.
Section 4
Free postal entry route
You may enter an eligible competition without paying the online ticket price by using the free postal entry route. You remain responsible for the cost of postage.
Send a legible, handwritten postcard or letter with the correct postage to:
Million Pound Draw LtdA617 Westbound
Heath
Chesterfield
S44 5SW
United Kingdom
Each postal entry must include:
- your full name;
- your full postal address, including postcode;
- your telephone number;
- the email address registered to your Million Pound Draw account;
- the exact name of the competition and prize you wish to enter.
You must have an active Platform account before we process the entry, and the details on the postal entry must match that account. We may not be able to process an entry where the details do not match.
Only one entry is permitted per postcard or letter and per separately stamped envelope. Mechanically reproduced entries, entries delivered in bulk in one envelope, illegible entries, incomplete entries and entries sent without the correct postage will not be accepted. You may submit multiple separate postal entries, subject to the same per-person, account or household limit that applies to online entries.
Your postal entry must be received by us after the competition opens and before its published closing time. The risk of loss or postal delay remains with you, so please allow enough time for delivery. A postmark does not prove receipt.
We will process a compliant postal entry in the same ticket-allocation system used for online entries. It is not valid until it appears in our records and we confirm it by email or through your account. A valid postal ticket is included in the same eligible ticket pool and has the same chance of winning as a paid or credit-funded ticket.
Section 5
Subscriptions and ticket credits
A subscription provides the monthly ticket-credit allowance shown for the selected plan. Ticket credits can be used on eligible competitions but do not automatically enter you into any particular competition. You must choose a competition and complete a credit-backed entry before it closes.
By starting a subscription, you authorise us and our payment provider to charge the monthly price shown at checkout using your saved payment method. Your account will show the current plan, allowance and renewal information.
Unused ticket credits may roll forward while the related subscription remains active, subject to any limit stated when the plan is purchased. Credits have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred and cannot be withdrawn as money.
If a renewal payment fails, we may mark the subscription past due and retry payment. The current process makes up to three attempts. If the final attempt fails, we may end the subscription and remove unused credits issued by that subscription.
You can change plan through your account. A move to a higher-priced plan requires a separate one-off payment equal to the difference between the package prices. The new plan and additional credits are applied only after that payment is confirmed. A move to a lower-priced plan does not remove credits already issued, and future renewals use the new plan price and allowance.
You may cancel through your account. Cancellation stops future renewal attempts and takes effect immediately. Any unused credits issued through the cancelled subscription may be removed. Entries already validly completed with credits before cancellation remain entered in their relevant competitions.
Section 6
Eligibility
Unless the Competition Details state otherwise, entrants must be aged 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom. You must enter only where it is lawful for you to do so and for us to award the prize to you.
The following may not enter:
- our employees, officers and directors;
- employees of suppliers or professional advisers directly involved in operating or administering the competition;
- members of the immediate family or household of those people.
Entries must be made in your own name. You may maintain only one customer account unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. You must keep your account and contact details accurate and secure.
We may request evidence of age, identity, address, eligibility and account ownership. If you do not provide reasonably requested evidence within the time stated in our request, we may disqualify the affected entries or selected winner.
Section 7
How draws are conducted
After a competition closes, the Platform fixes the eligible ticket dataset from confirmed entries. Pending, failed, cancelled, unpaid or otherwise invalid orders are excluded.
The system creates and retains evidence of the eligible dataset, including a cryptographic hash. The winner is then selected from those eligible tickets using a secure random selection process based on Node.js crypto.randomInt.
The draw result records the selected ticket, eligible-ticket count, draw time, algorithm version and linked evidence. Staff cannot manually choose a preferred winner or substitute a different ticket after selection.
If a technical problem prevents a conclusive draw, we may pause it, correct the problem and conduct or repeat the draw using the same eligible dataset, or another demonstrably fair method. We will retain an audit record of material draw actions.
If no eligible tickets exist when the draw is due, the result may be recorded as no winner and we may cancel, extend or rerun the competition as permitted by section 14.
Section 8
The prize
The prize, any included extras and any material restrictions are described in the Competition Details. Images may be illustrative, but we will use reasonable care to describe the prize accurately.
Prizes are subject to availability. If circumstances outside our reasonable control make the advertised prize unavailable, we may provide a reasonably equivalent or higher-value substitute, including a cash alternative where appropriate.
Unless the Competition Details expressly say otherwise, a prize is not transferable, exchangeable or negotiable. Costs not expressly included—such as travel, insurance, tax, registration, maintenance, running costs or collection expenses—are the winner's responsibility.
For a vehicle prize, the Competition Details will describe its principal condition and specification. The winner is responsible for obtaining suitable insurance before using it, holding the required licence, and meeting all legal requirements after handover. Vehicle tax, fuel and ongoing costs are not included unless expressly stated.
A prize may be supplied by a third party. Any manufacturer or supplier warranty is subject to that third party's terms.
Section 9
Winners and claiming a prize
We will contact a selected winner using the email address and/or telephone number held on their account. Entrants are responsible for keeping those details current.
The selected winner must claim personally and complete our reasonable verification checks. We may require photographic identification, proof of address and, for a cash prize, evidence that the nominated bank account belongs to the winner.
Unless the Competition Details state another period, the winner must respond and provide requested information within 21 days of our first notification. We will make reasonable efforts to contact them. If they cannot be contacted, do not claim in time, fail verification or are ineligible, they may forfeit the prize and we may select an alternate winner fairly from the remaining eligible tickets.
We may publish information showing that a valid award took place, including the winner's surname and county and, where appropriate, the winning ticket. A winner may object to publication by contacting us, but we may still provide information to a regulator or other authority where required.
Prize delivery or collection arrangements will be agreed with the verified winner. We are not responsible for a winner's failure to take delivery or use a prize where we have complied with those agreed arrangements.
Section 10
Cancellations and refunds
Competition entries are allocated and recorded shortly after a confirmed order. Except where required by law or expressly stated in these terms, entries cannot be cancelled and entry fees are not refundable merely because you change your mind, fail to use an entry or later discover that you were ineligible.
If we take payment but cannot provide the purchased entries because of our error, we will investigate and, where appropriate, complete the entry, provide equivalent account credit or refund the affected amount.
Subscription cancellation and unused-credit treatment are described in section 5. Cancelling a subscription does not retrospectively cancel valid competition entries already made.
If we cancel a competition without awarding the prize, we will provide an appropriate remedy for valid paid entries, which may be a refund or equivalent ticket credit. No postage refund is available for a postal entry.
Section 11
Prohibited conduct and disqualification
We may reject an entry, suspend an account or disqualify an entrant where we reasonably believe that they have:
- breached these terms or the Competition Details;
- provided false, misleading or stolen identity, account or payment information;
- used bots, scripts, automation, agents, syndicates or other unauthorised methods;
- tampered with the Platform, payment process, ticket allocation, postal route or draw process;
- created or coordinated multiple accounts or identities to evade entry limits;
- committed fraud, chargeback abuse, money laundering or another unlawful act;
- threatened or abused our staff, entrants, winners or suppliers.
Where reasonably possible, we will consider the relevant evidence before disqualifying an entry or winner. Disqualification does not create a right to a refund where the entrant caused or participated in the breach.
Section 12
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your mandatory consumer rights.
If we breach these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of that breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, business loss suffered by a consumer, or a failure caused by events outside our reasonable control.
We are not responsible for a postal operator, communications network, device, payment provider or third-party service failing or delaying an entry, notification or prize arrangement, except to the extent that the failure results from something we did or failed to do.
Section 13
Data protection and publicity
We process personal information to create and secure accounts, administer entries and subscriptions, prevent fraud, conduct draws, contact winners, verify eligibility and fulfil prizes. Further information is provided in our privacy policy.
Postal-entry information will be matched against your Platform account and used to administer the requested entry.
Marketing is not a condition of entry. Where consent is required, you can withdraw it without affecting valid entries already made.
We may invite winners to participate in reasonable publicity. Where consent is legally required, publicity will be subject to that consent. Refusing optional publicity does not affect eligibility to win.
Section 14
Changes, suspension and cancellation
We may correct an obvious error in Competition Details or make a change that is reasonably necessary because of fraud, technical failure, supplier failure, law, regulation or another event outside our reasonable control.
Where a material change could disadvantage existing entrants, we will take reasonable steps to notify them and preserve a fair outcome. Depending on the circumstances, this may include extending the closing date, pausing entries, substituting a prize, rerunning a draw from the fixed eligible dataset or cancelling the competition and providing the remedy described in section 10.
We may update these general terms from time to time. A change will not unfairly alter an entry already accepted under an earlier version. The version published when you enter normally applies to that entry, subject to any change required by law.
Section 15
Mobile apps and app stores
Our iOS and Android applications are access channels for the same Million Pound Draw competitions. These terms and the relevant Competition Details apply in the same way whether you enter through our website or an official mobile application. The official rules and Competition Details will be made available in the application before you enter.
Apple Inc., Google LLC and their respective subsidiaries and affiliates (together, the “App Store Providers”) are not promoters, sponsors, administrators or operators of our competitions and are not involved in ticket allocation, payments, subscriptions, draws, winner selection, verification or prize fulfilment. Our competitions are not endorsed by or associated with an App Store Provider.
The Promoter, not an App Store Provider, is solely responsible for the competitions, these terms, the application and its content, customer support, payments, refunds, legal compliance and the investigation of any claim relating to them. Competition or account enquiries must be directed to us using the contact details in section 16.
Downloading and using an application is also subject to the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play terms. Any mandatory app-store term applies to the distribution and use of the application, but does not make an App Store Provider a party to your competition entry or responsible for a prize.
Entry and subscription payments are made to the Promoter and processed through our nominated payment provider, including where checkout is opened from an application. They are not purchases from Apple or Google, and the App Store Providers do not collect or administer entry fees, subscription charges or refunds.
We do not guarantee that an application will remain compatible with every device or operating-system version. An update may be required to continue using it, and an App Store Provider may suspend or remove it. Where available, you may continue to access your account and open competitions through our website.
If you create an account, you can request its deletion through the account controls available in our application or Platform. You must cancel an active subscription before deleting the account. Some records may be retained where reasonably required to administer an existing entry or prize, prevent fraud, resolve a dispute, or comply with legal, tax or regulatory obligations, as explained in our privacy policy.
Apple, the Apple logo and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC.
Section 16
General terms
Our competitions are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Meta or any other platform on which they may be advertised, unless expressly stated.
If a court finds part of these terms unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
If we delay enforcing a right, that does not waive it. No person other than you and the Promoter has a right to enforce the contract for your entry, except a lawful successor to either party.
These terms and each competition are governed by English law. You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your home courts, and nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
Questions or complaints should be sent through our contact page or to hello@millionpounddraw.com.
