Competition rules

A practical summary of the rules followed for Million Pound Draw entries, closing dates, random draws, winners and prizes.

Last updated: 4 August 2026

Before you enter

Read these rules, the relevant Competition Details and our full Competition Terms before entering. They are designed to ensure that paid, credit-funded and free postal tickets are processed consistently and included in the same fair draw.

Section 1

How these rules apply

These rules describe the standard operating rules used by MILLION POUND DRAW LTD, company number 17002657 (the “Promoter”), for competitions offered through millionpounddraw.com and our official mobile applications.

The relevant competition page (the “Competition Details”) identifies the particular prize, ticket price, availability, entry limit, opening time, closing time and draw time. It forms part of the rules for that competition.

Our Competition Terms & Conditions contain the full legal terms. If this practical summary conflicts with them, the Competition Details take priority, followed by the Competition Terms.

Section 2

Eligibility

  • You must be aged 18 or over.
  • Unless the Competition Details state otherwise, you must be resident in the United Kingdom and participation must be lawful where you are located.
  • You must use an account registered in your own name with accurate, current contact details.
  • Employees, officers and directors of the Promoter, people directly involved in administering the draw, and their immediate family or household members cannot enter.

We may request proof of age, identity, address, account ownership or other eligibility information before confirming a winner.

Section 3

Competition details

Before entering, check the Competition Details for:

  • the prize and any alternative offered;
  • the opening, closing and scheduled draw times;
  • the paid ticket price and available number of tickets;
  • the maximum entries allowed per person or account; and
  • any special eligibility, prize-collection or fulfilment conditions.

Times are UK local time unless expressly stated otherwise.

Section 4

Online entry

  1. Sign in to your completed Million Pound Draw account.
  2. Choose an open competition and permitted ticket quantity.
  3. Add the entry to your basket and complete checkout using an accepted payment method or eligible ticket credits.
  4. Check that the order is confirmed and ticket numbers appear in your account.

A basket item, attempted payment or pending payment is not an entry. An online entry is valid only when our records show the order as confirmed and the system has allocated its ticket number or numbers.

Ticket numbers are allocated by the Platform. Customers and staff cannot request, choose, exchange or transfer a particular ticket number.

Section 5

Free postal entry

You may enter an eligible competition without paying the online entry price. Normal postage costs apply. Send one legible, handwritten entry per separately stamped postcard or envelope to:

Million Pound Draw Ltd
A617 Westbound
Heath
Chesterfield
S44 5SW
United Kingdom

Include your full name, full address and postcode, telephone number, registered account email address, exact competition name and exact prize name where a choice is offered.

You must already have an active account and the supplied details must match it. The entry must arrive after the competition opens and before its published closing time. A postmark or proof of posting does not prove receipt, so allow sufficient delivery time.

Mechanically reproduced, bulk, insufficiently stamped, illegible, incomplete, late or unmatched entries cannot be processed. A compliant postal entry becomes valid only when recorded and confirmed. Once confirmed, it receives one ticket in the same eligible pool and has the same chance as a paid or credit-funded ticket.

Section 6

Subscriptions and ticket credits

A subscription provides the ticket-credit allowance shown for the plan after successful billing. A subscription or unused credit does not automatically enter a competition. You must choose an eligible competition and complete entry before it closes.

Ticket credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Subscription billing, upgrades, cancellation and unused-credit treatment are explained in the Competition Terms and at the point of subscription.

Section 7

Entry limits

All paid, ticket-credit and confirmed postal entries count towards the same limit shown in the Competition Details. Separate postal envelopes do not allow you to exceed that limit.

We may combine or reject entries from duplicate or connected accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce the rules and prevent circumvention.

Section 8

Closing and entry confirmation

Every entry must be confirmed in our records before the published closing time. Network delays, incomplete checkouts, pending or failed payments and postal items received after closing are excluded.

You are responsible for checking your confirmed entries and keeping account contact details current. Contact support promptly if a successful payment appears not to have produced the expected ticket record.

Section 9

How the draw is conducted

After closing, the Platform freezes the eligible set of confirmed tickets for the relevant draw cycle. Pending, failed, cancelled, unpaid or invalid records are excluded.

The winner is selected at random from that frozen set using a cryptographically secure random-number process. Every eligible ticket has an equal chance of selection. The system retains integrity and audit evidence linking the eligible ticket set to the recorded result.

Staff cannot manually choose a preferred winner. If a technical failure prevents a conclusive result, we may correct the problem and conduct or repeat selection fairly from the same verified eligible set.

Section 10

Winner contact and verification

We contact the provisionally selected winner using their registered email address and/or telephone number. They must respond and provide reasonably requested identity, age, address, eligibility and prize-delivery information within the period stated in the Competition Terms or winner notice.

If the selected person cannot be contacted after reasonable efforts, does not respond in time, fails verification, is ineligible or has materially breached the rules, the prize may be forfeited and a replacement selected fairly from the remaining eligible tickets.

Section 11

Prize fulfilment

The prize and any included extras, cash alternative, material restrictions or winner costs are described in the Competition Details. The verified winner must follow reasonable delivery, collection, insurance, registration and transfer requirements.

If circumstances outside our reasonable control make the advertised prize unavailable, the Competition Terms permit a reasonably equivalent or higher-value substitute or an appropriate stated cash alternative.

Section 12

Fair participation

Entries may be rejected and accounts may be suspended or disqualified for false details, duplicate-account abuse, bots or automation, payment or chargeback abuse, tampering, exceeding limits, identity misuse, unlawful conduct or another material breach of the rules.

We will act reasonably and consider available evidence before disqualifying an entry or provisional winner.

Section 13

Problems, changes or cancellation

Where fraud, technical failure, supplier failure, law or an event beyond our reasonable control prevents fair operation, we may pause entries, correct an obvious error, postpone or repeat a draw from the verified dataset, substitute a prize or cancel the competition.

We will take reasonable steps to notify affected entrants of a material change and provide the remedy required by the Competition Terms and applicable law.
