Adding a new payment method
How to add a new saved card from your account, complete secure card setup, and check it has saved correctly.
Quick overview
You can add a new payment method from your account area. This is useful if your old card has expired, checkout cannot use a saved card, or you need to replace the default card used for an active subscription.
Million Pound Draw only keeps safe card display details and the secure payment reference needed to use the card again. Your full card number and security code are not stored by us.
Before you start
Make sure you are signed in to the right account. If you have an active subscription, add the replacement card first, then set it as default before removing your old main card.
You may also need a billing address on your account before the secure card setup can begin.
Adding a new payment method
Step 1: Sign in to your account.
Step 2: Open Account.
Step 3: Go to Settings.
Step 4: Find Manage your payment methods.
Step 5: Click Add payment method.
Step 6: If the page asks for your billing address, click Add billing address and complete those details first.
Step 7: When secure card setup loads, enter your card number.
Step 8: Enter the name on the card.
Step 9: Enter the expiry date.
Step 10: Enter the CVC security code.
Step 11: Click Save payment method.
Step 12: Complete any bank or card security checks if they appear.
Step 13: Wait for the confirmation message.
Step 14: You should be returned to Account, Settings, Payment methods.
Step 15: Check the new card appears with the correct last 4 digits and expiry date.
Setting the new card as default
Step 1: Open Account.
Step 2: Go to Settings.
Step 3: Find Manage your payment methods.
Step 4: Find the new card.
Step 5: Click Set default.
Step 6: Check the default label has moved to the new card.
If you have an active subscription
Your subscription needs a default payment method for renewals. If you want to replace the card used for your subscription, add the new card first and set it as default before trying to remove the old card.
If the old card is locked, it means it is still the main payment method for your active subscription.
If secure setup will not start
Secure card setup may fail to start if your account details are incomplete, your billing address is missing, your session has expired, or there is a temporary payment connection issue.
Refresh the page, check your billing address, and try again. If it still will not start, contact support.
If the card does not appear afterwards
If you complete the setup but the card does not show in Payment methods, refresh your account settings first. If it still does not appear, contact support so the team can check whether the secure setup was confirmed.
