Saved payment methods

How saved cards work, where to find the last 4 digits and expiry, how to add or remove cards, and why a default card can be locked with an active subscription.

Quick overview

Saved payment methods let you check out faster and keep subscription renewals running without entering your card details every time. Your account should show safe card details only, such as the card brand, last 4 digits and expiry date.

Million Pound Draw does not store your full card number or security code. The payment provider stores the card securely and we keep the safe reference needed to use it again.

Where to find saved payment methods

Step 1: Sign in to your account.

Step 2: Open Account.

Step 3: Go to Settings.

Step 4: Find Payment methods.

Step 5: Review the cards saved to your account.

What card details should show

Each saved payment method should show the card type where available, the last 4 digits and the expiry month and year.

If the last 4 digits or expiry are missing, the card may have been saved before those display details were available, or the payment provider may not have returned them correctly. Add a fresh payment method and contact support if the old saved card still looks wrong.

Default card

Your default card is the main payment method used for subscription renewals and faster checkout. If you have more than one saved payment method, you can set another card as the default from Payment methods.

Changing the default card does not delete the old card. It only changes which saved payment method is used first.

Adding a payment method

Step 1: Sign in to your account.

Step 2: Open Account.

Step 3: Go to Settings.

Step 4: Find Payment methods.

Step 5: Click Add payment method.

Step 6: If asked, add or check your billing address.

Step 7: Enter the card details in secure checkout.

Step 8: Complete any bank or card security checks.

Step 9: Return to your account and check the new card appears with the correct last 4 digits and expiry.

Removing a payment method

Step 1: Sign in to your account.

Step 2: Open Account.

Step 3: Go to Settings.

Step 4: Find Payment methods.

Step 5: Find the card you want to remove.

Step 6: Click Remove.

Step 7: Confirm the card has disappeared from your saved payment methods.

Why your default card may be locked

If you have an active subscription, your main saved payment method may be locked so it cannot be removed straight away. This protects your subscription renewal and stops the account being left with no payment method attached to the live membership.

To remove a locked default card, add another payment method first, set the new card as default, then remove the old card.

If you do not have an active subscription

You can remove saved cards you no longer need. If you remove all cards, you can still add a new payment method later from Account, Settings, Payment methods.

If checkout cannot use a saved card

A saved card can fail if it has expired, your bank declines the payment, an extra security check is needed, or the saved card reference is no longer accepted.

Add a new payment method and try again. If secure checkout still will not start, contact support so the team can check the saved payment method and transaction attempt.
