Getting started

Changing your password

How to change your account password, reset a forgotten password by email, and fix common password errors.

Quick overview

You can change your password from Account, Settings. For security, you need to enter your current password before choosing a new one.

Your new password must be at least 8 characters, and the confirmation field needs to match exactly.

Changing your password

Step 1: Sign in to your account.

Step 2: Open Account.

Step 3: Go to Settings.

Step 4: Open Manage Your Details.

Step 5: Find the Password section.

Step 6: Click Reset password.

Step 7: Enter your current password.

Step 8: Enter your new password.

Step 9: Enter the same new password again in Confirm new password.

Step 10: Click Save new password.

Step 11: Wait for the success message.

Step 12: Use the new password the next time you sign in.

Password rules

Your new password must be at least 8 characters long.

Use something you do not use on other websites. A longer password is usually better than a short complicated one.

Forgot your password

If you cannot remember your current password, use the forgot password option from the sign in page once it is available. This will send a password reset email to the email address on your account.

Step 1: Open the sign in page.

Step 2: Click Forgot password.

Step 3: Enter the email address linked to your Million Pound Draw account.

Step 4: Click Send reset email.

Step 5: Open the password reset email.

Step 6: Click the reset link in the email.

Step 7: Enter your new password.

Step 8: Confirm your new password.

Step 9: Save the new password.

Step 10: Return to the sign in page and log in with your new password.

If the reset email does not arrive

Check your junk or spam folder first. Also check that you entered the same email address you used to create your account.

If the email still does not arrive, contact support so the team can check whether the account exists and help you get back in.

If the reset link has expired

Password reset links are usually time-limited for security. If the link has expired, request a new password reset email and use the newest link.

If your current password is incorrect

If you see a message saying your current password is incorrect, check for typing mistakes and try again.

If you cannot remember your current password, use the forgot password email reset flow once it is available, or contact support if you need help before then.

If the new passwords do not match

Both new password fields need to be exactly the same. Check for missing characters, extra spaces, capital letters, or browser autofill putting the wrong value into one of the boxes.

If the password is too short

If the new password is under 8 characters, the update will not save. Choose a longer password and try again.

If the update takes too long

If the password update takes longer than expected, wait a moment and try again. If your connection dropped or the page timed out, the password may not have saved.

After changing your password

Once the password has been updated, keep using the same email address with your new password when signing in.

If you are signed in on another device, you may need to sign in again there with the new password.
