Changing your subscription plan

How to change your subscription plan, what happens on upgrades, what happens on downgrades and how future renewals are affected.

Quick overview

You can change your subscription plan from your account settings. If you upgrade to a plan with more monthly ticket credits, extra credits may be added straight away. If you downgrade, the lower allowance usually applies from a future renewal rather than removing credits you have already received.

You can only have one active subscription at a time, so changing plan is the right route if you want a different monthly ticket allowance.

Changing your plan

Step 1: Sign in to your account.

Step 2: Open Account.

Step 3: Go to Settings.

Step 4: Find Manage your subscriptions.

Step 5: Click Change plan.

Step 6: Compare the available plans.

Step 7: Choose the plan you want to move to.

Step 8: Confirm the change.

Step 9: Check the subscription message shown on screen.

Step 10: Check your ticket credit balance if you have upgraded.

Upgrading your plan

An upgrade means moving to a plan with a higher monthly ticket allowance. If the new plan gives more credits than your current plan, the extra credits may be added to your account straight away.

For example, if your current plan gives 40 monthly credits and the new plan gives 100 monthly credits, the difference may be added when the upgrade is confirmed.

Your new plan details should then be used for future renewals.

Downgrading your plan

A downgrade means moving to a plan with a lower monthly ticket allowance. Downgrades usually affect future renewals, so the lower allowance is used when the plan next renews.

A downgrade should not remove ticket credits you have already been given just because you changed to a lower plan. However, if you cancel your subscription instead, unspent subscription credits may be removed.

Future renewal changes

After changing plan, your future renewal should use the new plan name, monthly price and ticket allowance. You can check this from Manage your subscriptions in your account settings.

If your renewal date, plan name or ticket allowance does not look right after changing plan, contact support before making another change.

Why you cannot buy a second subscription

Each customer can only have one active subscription at a time. This keeps monthly credits, renewals, saved payment methods and membership status clear.

If checkout says you already have an active subscription, go to Account, then Settings, then Manage your subscriptions and use Change plan.

If the plan change fails

If the change does not go through, refresh your account settings and check your current plan. Do not keep clicking different plans repeatedly if you are unsure what happened.

Contact support if your plan changed but your credits did not update, your renewal details look wrong, or the same error keeps appearing.
