What happens after I enter a draw

What happens after checkout, including confirmation, account entries, transactions, draw close and winner selection.

Quick overview

After you enter a draw, your order needs to be confirmed before your ticket numbers are created. Once confirmed, your entries appear in your account, your transaction is recorded, and your ticket numbers are included in the eligible ticket pool for that competition.

When the competition closes, confirmed eligible ticket numbers are used for the draw. Failed, pending, cancelled or abandoned payments should not be included.

After checkout

Step 1: Complete checkout using card, ticket credits, or a mix of credits and card.

Step 2: Wait for the order confirmation to finish.

Step 3: If checkout is successful, your order is recorded against your account.

Step 4: Ticket numbers are allocated to your confirmed entry.

Step 5: Open your account area.

Step 6: Check My Prize Draws for your competition entry.

Step 7: Check Transactions for the matching order record.

Confirmation

A confirmed entry means the order has been accepted and the ticket numbers have been allocated. Confirmation may depend on payment being verified, or on a credit-backed order being completed.

If payment fails, checkout is cancelled, or the payment remains pending, the entry should not be treated as confirmed and ticket numbers should not appear.

Account entries

Your confirmed competition entries appear in your account under My Prize Draws. Each entry should show the competition, number of tickets, ticket numbers where available, and entry status.

If you enter more than one draw, each competition should appear separately so you can check ticket numbers for each draw.

Transaction record

Your account also keeps a transaction record for purchases, subscription signups, renewals and credit-backed entries. The transaction record helps you check what was paid, when it happened, and which order or payment reference relates to the entry.

If you ever need support, the transaction record helps the team trace what happened.

Before the draw closes

You can continue checking your entry in your account. The competition page may show entries left or other draw information while the competition is still open.

If your entry looks wrong before the draw closes, contact support as soon as possible.

When the draw closes

When a competition closes, new entries should stop being accepted. The confirmed eligible ticket pool is then used for the draw.

This helps make sure late, failed, pending or unconfirmed orders are not mixed into the winner selection.

Winner selection

The winner should be selected from the eligible confirmed ticket numbers for that competition. Winners should not be manually chosen from customer accounts or picked because of who they are.

After a winner is selected, the result can be recorded against the competition and the team can begin winner contact and prize fulfilment.
